Meet Mina Park

Mina Park

Notice the small things. They often make the whole trip.

About me

Hi, I’m Mina. I grew up in Daejeon, where my mother could turn a trip to the market into an entire afternoon. We would go for vegetables and come home with rice cakes, a shopkeeper’s story and something we hadn’t planned to buy. My father preferred secondhand bookstores. Between them, I learned to enjoy taking my time.

When I moved to Seoul in my twenties, I got to know the city on foot. I kept notebooks filled with street names, unfamiliar dishes and sketches of shop windows. The lanes beside the famous sights caught my attention: a repair shop open for decades, a bakery with three tables, a bookstore with shelves tucked into every available corner.

That curiosity shapes my writing about food, neighborhood culture, books and everyday design. I look for the details that help you understand a place, then bring them together with the information you need to visit it.

I’m happy to spend an afternoon browsing, but I still want to know when the shop closes and which station gets me home. Away from writing, I collect used books faster than I finish them and have strong opinions about whether a café chair deserves a second cup.
