Use Friday for a palace morning and the Ttukseom drone show, then choose Saturday or Sunday for Nodeul Island. Times below are suggested planning anchors, except for the published show and festival hours. Keep your booked programme if you have one and adjust the daytime stops around it.

Before you leave

Set up the day.

  • Check the organizer’s live notices on the day. The drone show and outdoor light programme can change with weather.
  • Confirm any palace programme reservation separately from ordinary admission. Save the date, language, meeting point and admission conditions from the exact ticket.
  • Save 경복궁, 자양역, 뚝섬한강공원, 노들역 and 노들섬 in your map app. Download the Friday route before entering the park.
  • Choose an early dinner location near your evening arrival point, and check the last useful connection to your accommodation.

Follow the route

Your plan, in order.

Times are suggested planning anchors. Copy the route, then adjust it for your date, opening hours, and pace.

  1. Friday · around 10 a.m.
    01

    One palace

    Map search: 경복궁

Begin with Gyeongbokgung or the site named on your reservation. Allow 90 minutes to two hours for an ordinary visit. A confirmed early Changdeokgung programme replaces this start; do not try to complete both palace mornings.

  2. Friday · around noon
    02

    Lunch near the palace

Eat around the neighborhood you are already in. Choose a menu and queue that suit the group, then take a café or accommodation break. Keep the afternoon open instead of adding another cross-city attraction.

  3. Friday · late afternoon
    03

    Travel east and eat

Use the live route from your current location toward Ttukseom. From central Jongno, keep roughly 60–90 minutes for the journey, final walk and crowd buffer. Eat before entering the viewing area; the allowance is our estimate, not a timetable.

  4. Friday · aim for around 7 p.m.
    04

    Ttukseom arrival

    Map search: 뚝섬한강공원

Follow the city’s Jayang Station Exit 1 guidance and current crowd controls. Find the viewing area, restroom, meeting point and exit route. The arrival time is a suggested buffer; places and sightlines are not reserved.

  5. Friday · 8:30–8:45 p.m.
    05

    Scheduled drone show

Watch the published main show if it proceeds. Keep circulation paths clear and follow staff directions. Afterward, choose a comfortable departure rather than forcing everyone onto the first crowded train.

  6. Saturday or Sunday · daytime
    06

    A lighter cultural day

Choose a single confirmed festival activity or Seoul Museum of History, then have lunch and a rest. If you have an evening palace booking, keep it and move Nodeul to the other evening. This is the flexible day of the plan.

  7. Saturday or Sunday · early dinner
    07

    Dinner before Nodeul

Eat near your actual approach to the island. Check the current walking or shuttle route and allow extra time if you hold a live-performance reservation. Do not rely on arriving at the exact advertised start.

  8. Saturday or Sunday · around 6:30–7 p.m.
    08

    Nodeul Island

    Map search: 노들섬

Use Nodeul Station Exit 2 and the city’s listed walk toward Hangang Bridge, or a currently operating festival shuttle. Follow temporary entrances. Give the installations about 90 minutes to two hours, adjusted around your booked performance and energy.

  9. After your island visit
    09

    Return to your accommodation

Leave when you have enjoyed enough; the listed 10:30 p.m. festival close is not a departure target. Recheck the next service and onward connection. Use a staffed, designated route out if crowd controls change the usual approach.

Make it your trip

Useful changes.

  • Only Friday available: choose one palace morning and Ttukseom. Leave Nodeul out rather than attempting both river venues.
  • Only Saturday or Sunday available: choose one cultural stop and Nodeul. Friday’s drone show is not a nightly event.
  • No palace programme tickets: check ordinary daytime admission and choose an independent palace visit. Do not assume an announced reserved activity has walk-in places.
  • Rain or strong wind: check each organizer separately. A central museum, lunch and café can replace the outdoor evening; it need not become another long journey.
  • Children or fewer steps: shorten the daytime stop and retain the meal and rest breaks. Standing and crowd waiting add effort even when the step count is low. Verify access needs individually.
